Rapid Re-Housing Homeless Prevention Case Manager

Homeward Bound’s Rapid Re-Housing (RRH) Homeless Prevention Program provides short-term financial assistance for housing and case management support to individuals and families at imminent risk of homelessness in Buncombe County. The program’s temporary financial assistance assists with rental and utility arrears, short-term rental and/or utility assistance and can also provide move-in cost assistance in cases where a client loses their current housing. The program offers resources and services that are tailored to the unique needs of the household. The Case Manager is a source of support and guidance. Permanent Supportive Housing Case Manager – HACA Team

The Case Manager is a source of support and guidance to individuals experiencing chronic homelessness in Buncombe County. Case Managers are trained to assist individuals with identifying barriers to housing stability and engage in goal planning that aims to link individuals to the resources and skills that they need in order to achieve long-term housing stability. All clients on this team will move into Housing Authority of Asheville units. This particular position will specifically serve a caseload of women exiting chronic homelessness who have experienced domestic and/or sexual assault. Resident Safety Advisor 

The Resident Safety Advisor is responsible for controlling access to The Woodfin, a hard-to-house project of Homeward Bound’s Permanent Supportive Housing program located on Woodfin Street in Asheville. Most importantly, we are looking for individuals that have passion for the work and compassion for all people experiencing homelessness in our community, no exceptions. The Resident Safety Advisor primarily acts as the face of Homeward Bound at The Woodfin. Ensuring only residents enter the building, and reporting necessary information to case managers are the main functions of the Resident Safety Advisor. Rapid Rehousing Program Director 

The RRH Program Director will be responsible for overseeing all functions of the RRH & HP Programs, including the teams. This includes supervising the Program Manager who provides direct supervision to the RRH Case Managers and the Outreach specialist. In addition to staff supervision, the RRH Program Director will be responsible for managing the overall program and all components of the program, including the budget. This individual must be familiar with all funding requirements and reporting as well as provide approval and oversight for all operations. The RRH Director will work closely with the Senior Program Director to ensure compliance and a high level of service-delivery, in addition to strategic decision-making to drive the program forward.
