Affordable housing is on everyone’s mind in Asheville. How is our community affected by a lack of affordable housing? What resources are available to help people who can’t afford rent in our city?

On Tuesday, August 9th, from 5:30-7:30 pm at Archetype Brewing – North (174 Broadway St) join AVL Meetup for a quick but in-depth real estate market recap from the Ruiz Report and a panel discussion about Affordable Housing with Homeward Bound’s Jessie Figueroa, Michelle Moore from City of Asheville Housing Authority, Kate Pett from Thrive Asheville, and Adeline Wolfe from Mountain Housing Opportunities. Community haves/wants/needs with networking to follow.

AVL Meetup brings together Movers & Shakers in the Asheville community. Come and learn from a lineup of local experts, then stick around to create meaningful connections with other members of AVL’s business ecosystem afterwards!

AVL Meetup is hosted by:

Rodrigo Afanador, past President of the Carolina Real Estate Investors Association (CREIA), a non-profit education group for real estate investors. Rodrigo is also founded the Asheville Real Estate News website and podcast. Rodrigo currently hosts the Who Is Asheville podcast.

Zac Ruiz,  author of the Ruiz Report, the most widely read real estate market report in Western NC, and he is the founder of remc, a company dedicated to revolutionizing the way Buyers and Sellers meet their agent (look up any agent in CanopyMLS’s report card here!).
