As our community moves through the relief period and looks forward, we know we will continue to need support to provide care for our unhoused and housed community. This storm has been a stark reminder of the fragility of housing stability. Western North Carolina will encounter a significant increase in the number of people experiencing homelessness for the first time, and we remain committed to our mission of preventing and ending homelessness through permanent housing and support.
