Endorsements from Community Partners
Homeward Bound has a remarkable tenure of service on the streets of poverty. Since our partnership began over a decade ago, I’ve witnessed them widen their circle of care, always prioritizing our most displaced citizens with unflinching commitment.
Wicked Weed Brewing continues to be overwhelmed by the positive impact that Homeward Bound has had on addressing and helping to solve the homelessness situation in our community. Their passion and compassion working tirelessly to eradicate homelessness is a testament to Homeward Bound’s commitment, dedication and unconditional love toward those needing our help the most. Wicked Weed Brewing is committed to supporting this amazing organization and we feel extremely blessed and honored to do so.
For over a decade, we have supported the mission of Homeward Bound to help restore dignity and hope to people experiencing homelessness in our community. The effectiveness of Homeward Bound’s program in Asheville is irrefutable – 92% of people moved into their own homes in the last year have not returned to homelessness. We remain dedicated to helping people from all walks of life toward the comfort of their own home, and applaud Homeward Bound’s focus toward ending homelessness rather than simply trying to manage it.
I am proud to support Homeward Bound’s mission to end homelessness in our community. The Housing First model has had significant, long-term successes throughout the country and I applaud Homeward Bound for bringing this practice to Asheville in 2006 and for the significant impact that (it) has had here. Their work to provide safe and stable homes for people who are chronically homeless is essential to the health and well-being of our community.
At Homeward Bound they believe that all people in our community deserve to belong and have a chance to thrive. We share that commitment and it’s why we are happy to lend our endorsement for the Home is Key initiative.
We enthusiastically support Homeward Bound’s continuing efforts to provide for those experiencing homelessness in our community. Through our existing partnership, Homeward Bound has successfully offered critical assistance to library visitors needing shelter and related services. They bring a passion for service, an innovative approach to problem-solving, and are an essential community partner in addressing the goal of ending homelessness.
The most important part of the Ingles partnership is Homeward Bound’s commitment to making a difference with boots on the ground, sound acquisitions and concentrating on the need at hand, not building a corporate structure that eats away at the true purpose of the organization. That is important to Ingles and Homeward Bound shares that philosophy.

Since 2018, our organization has funded their permanent supportive housing program and our associates volunteer with Room at the Inn. The Housing First model has had significant, long-term successes throughout the country and we applaud Homeward Bound for bringing this practice to Asheville. We believe in their work to provide safe and stable homes for the chronically homeless.
Asheville Housing Authority is a strong supporter of Homeward Bound’s mission to end homelessness in our community.
