Be The Key – Volunteer

Come volunteer with us!

We offer service experiences for individuals, faith communities, businesses, and schools and youth groups. Volunteers help us end homelessness in our region by helping provide much-needed services to people transitioning into a home. Taking our See the Hope Tour is a great way to learn more about volunteering opportunities.

Michael, a volunteer at our Day Center, told us,“I don’t know if I ever expressed this, but I was always impressed with the level of work you do at Homeward Bound and [the Day Center]. There is so much respect and human dignity in it. Also, you waste absolutely nothing. You can take a small amount of resources and make it perform so many different services. Thanks for letting me volunteer with you!”

Call Sharon Blythe at 828.776.9741 or email her at to find out how you can be the key to ending homelessness.

92 cents of every dollar goes directly to end homelessness

Donate Today

A monthly gift allows you to spread the financial impact of your giving across the entire year, lessening a one-time drain on your resources. Also, recurring gifts help Homeward Bound as we can more accurately predict income in advance, which helps with longer range budgeting and decision-making.
