Cups of Hope Coffee Partnership

You can share a Cup of Hope

Cups of Hope is a partnership program between coffee shops and Homeward Bound’s AHOPE Day Center to provide coffee, milk, sugar, and creamer to community members who are experiencing homelessness. Currently, these items are all at the expense of Homeward Bound. This partnership can help relieve these expenses from our budget.

Cups of Hope offers our local community a way to help us provide this small daily ritual for our folks, creating space for conversation, connection, and encouragement for the journey forward.

“AHOPE is a good place to get something to eat, something to drink, and people to talk to.” – Randy, AHOPE client

Coffee & Community

The AHOPE Day Center is the front door to Homeward Bound’s services. Each day, we serve over 200 homeless community members, providing a place where they can rest, find community, and access showers, bathrooms, mail receipt, and other fundamental daily essentials. This includes fresh, hot coffee.

Each month, the AHOPE Day Center serves over 150 lbs. of coffee, 1,200 lbs. of sugar, and 50 gallons each of creamer and milk.

“Coffee, I think here, builds community. It’s a time of reflection for our folks- so you can see the best conversations whenever they’re having their first cup of coffee for the day.” – Kris, AHOPE Program Manager

Our Cups of Hope Partners

Homeward Bound of WNC is proud to partner with Pisgah Coffee Roasters through the Cups of Hope Registry Program, a unique way for our community to give back while supporting a locally owned business. Through this registry, individuals can purchase bags of coffee or cold brew that are delivered directly to our AHOPE Day Center, where staff and volunteers brew and serve them to those we support each day.

This simple act offers more than just warmth in a cup; it provides comfort, connection, and dignity to our neighbors experiencing homelessness. By purchasing through Pisgah Coffee Roasters, you’re not only helping sustain a meaningful daily ritual at AHOPE, but also investing in a Western North Carolina business that shares our values of community and compassion.
